Jendayi Caines
Jen Caines, MBA, MA, LGPC brings a unique blend of professional expertise and compassion to her work as a counselor. One of her life goals has been to help individuals build resilience, achieve personal growth, and navigate life’s complexities with greater clarity and confidence. With 14 years of experience as a human resource professional, she has spent her career helping individuals overcome challenges, find solutions, and thrive both personally and professionally. She is originally from Connecticut (Go Huskies!) and spent 6 years in Boston where she obtained a BS in Political Science from Northeastern University. In addition, Jen holds an MBA in Human Resources and an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, both obtained from Liberty University.
Jen works with a diverse population which includes neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, and clients dealing with trauma. Her approach is neurodivergent-affirming, meaning she honors and celebrates diverse ways of thinking and experiencing the world. Jen uses a variety of therapeutic methods, including Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, and Art Therapy. This range of techniques allows her to tailor each session to your unique needs, strengths, and goals. Her priority is creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you feel empowered to explore your thoughts and emotions.
Jen’s passion lies in guiding individuals through life’s complexities, whether they’re navigating workplace stress, personal challenges, or seeking personal growth. She works with clients of all ages and backgrounds — children, teens, couples, and families — offering support that’s both compassionate and practical.
In Jen’s spare time, she loves to travel with her daughter, spending time at the beach and discovering the best restaurants and cuisines around town. If you’re ready to take the next step on your journey, she is here to help. Together, you will uncover your strengths and build tools to help you achieve meaningful change.
Resilience-building through clinical skill + lived experience.
